Frequently Asked Questions
What conditions do you support?
I specialise in ADHD, autism (ASC), and eating disorders — including ARFID, binge eating disorder, bulimia, and anorexia. I understand how these experiences can overlap and I tailor my work to each individual’s needs.
Can you help with multiple diagnoses at once?
Yes. Many people I work with experience more than one difficulty, such as ADHD alongside an eating disorder, or autism with anxiety. I take an integrated, evidence-based approach that supports the whole person rather than focusing on one label in isolation.
What types of therapy do you offer?
I draw on a range of established approaches, including REBT, Maudsley-informed work, ACT, DBT-informed skills, and neurodiversity-affirming therapeutic approaches. My work is always personalised to your strengths, needs, and goals. I don’t “treat” conditions — I work with human beings.
Are you neurodiversity-affirming?
Absolutely. My practice is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach. I aim to provide respectful, validating, and supportive therapy, and I’m mindful of sensory needs, communication preferences, and differences in executive functioning.
Do you work with ARFID?
Yes. I offer specialist support for ARFID, including work around sensory sensitivities, anxiety, and the challenges around eating and mealtimes that many neurodivergent people experience.
Is therapy accessible for people with executive functioning difficulties?
Yes. I aim to make therapy as accessible and manageable as possible. Sessions can be structured, clear, and flexible, and I can incorporate reminders, visual supports, and step-by-step planning where helpful.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. I offer secure online therapy sessions. Many neurodivergent clients find online work more comfortable, flexible, and accessible than in-person sessions.
What ages do you work with?
I work with children, adolescents, and adults. When you get in touch, we can talk about your needs and whether I’m the right fit for you or your child.
Do I need a formal diagnosis to start therapy?
No. You’re very welcome to contact me whether you have a diagnosis, are in the process of seeking one, or simply want support to better understand your experiences.
Can parents or caregivers be involved?
Yes, where appropriate. For younger clients, parent or caregiver involvement can be an important part of the work. Adults may also choose to involve a trusted support person if they wish.
How do I get started?
You can book an initial consultation through my website. This gives us the opportunity to talk about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you may have, and decide on the best next steps together.
