Embracing Neurodiversity in Adulthood
Being neurodivergent means your brain processes, learns, and experiences the world in ways that may differ from what’s considered “typical.” This diversity is a natural and valuable part of being human. Neurodivergent adults might identify as autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic, or experience other forms of cognitive and sensory variation.
In my practice, I view neurodiversity through an affirming lens — one that recognizes strengths, creativity, deep focus, and unique perspectives, while also understanding the real challenges that can come from living in a world not always designed for different kinds of minds.
Therapy with a neuroaffirmative approach means I don’t pathologize difference. Instead, I work collaboratively to build understanding, self-compassion, and practical strategies for thriving. I explore identity, relationships, sensory needs, executive functioning, burnout, and belonging — all at your own pace, with respect for how your brain works.
Whether you’ve recently discovered your neurodivergence or have known for years, this space offers acceptance, curiosity, and care. Together, we can help you find ways to live authentically and comfortably in a world that is slowly learning to celebrate difference.
